I adopted my 4th hedgie from work yesterday. After much agonizing over a name to follow my literary theme.... I introduce to you Oliver! (as in the orphan Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens)
He's about 3 months old and other than some dry skin, he is a handsome baby boy :)

Yes he certainly is a handsome baby boy. Watch out for the girls when he gets older, if he maintains his cutness. :nolove:
Congrats,
Jeanne

Funny that you ask about a story Vanessa (since she knows all my animals have stories about how they ended up at the shelter and then in my home... )
Oliver's previous owner moved here from MN to move back home. She also brought with her 2 cats and a guinea pig. Picture this... all in the back seat of her car because they wouldn't allow them in the hotel!!! I'm not sure why it took her 2 days to get to my area because it's only a 6 hour drive! She had her mom bring them into the humane society because "She didn't think that any of them were interesting anymore and she thinks she might want to get a dog instead" :banghead:
Just when I thought I heard every reason why people bring in an animal!

Oliver is a cutie! You're one lucky lady! :)
Isn't it crazy how some people just think animals are toys? http://www.chins-n-quills.com/jIRC/classes/applet_images/banghead.gif I'm just glad Oliver has a new home where he'll be safe and sound. Oliver is a GREAT name by the way.
