Aleena has what appears to be dry skin on her face. I have bag balm for her ears but its awful gooey for the face. What would be good for a dry hedgie face (and tail)? I'm scared of getting something in her eyes or nose.

Teaselsmom uses nipple cream for her hedgies' dry ears and swears by it so you may want to try that. I think it'd be hypoallergenic and safe if ingested. PM her and get her advice? :)

Bag balm would work just as well as nipple cream. Just use it very sparingly. Or vasaline would work and would not hurt his eyes. :)

:nolove: Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, Aleena died today. I kinda knew it was coming.

Thanks again

Basically, Aleena had been suffering from severe colitis including a prolapsed rectum on two occasions. My wonderful vet had been treating her with pregnisone hoping it was irritable bowel syndrome but the possibility of cancer was there. She seemed to be doing better for a few days but the last couple days, I'd noticed that Aleena had become very weak and wasn't eating much (I've been supplimenting her with syringe feedings). This morning, she wasn't well, very passive. When I got home from work, she was gone. I'm just glad she had her warm snugglesafe and blankie to comfort her. I'm planning on having her cremated.

I am so sorry on the lose of your little Alleena. She sounds like she was a special girl and very much loved.
