For the first time ever, Peaches bit. I can't believe it. Peaches who never raises a quill never ever even thought of biting, BIT Jess.

I noticed last night that her ears are just the slightest bit rough on the edges so tonight I had her sitting on my lap and put some nipple cream on them. I have never used nipple cream on her ears before. Well, she sniffed my fingers and sniffed and sniffed and I got the nails on 3 feet cut while she sniffed. Then Jess came and touched her ear and put her finger out for Peachy to sniff while I cut the 4th foot and CHOMP. She bit her and bit hard.

Then she annointed and must have rubbed an ear on her quills so she is going into all these weird contortions trying to get at the quills with the smell on them. We put her in her cage and she walked close to the wall of her cage so then had to lick all along the wall.

As if that wasn't enough, she discovered the smell was on her hedgie bag so lick lick lick.

Wait till she realizes it's on her ears!

I guess I know an easy way to cut her nails now!

Oh no! Peaches just got a little carried away! Poor Jess!
I'll have to try that... my hedgies are due for a nail trim :)

It's odd but Peaches is the only one who has been interested in the nipple cream. She is seriously an odd girl. HATES BUGS! She will only eat her kibble. She was almost a year old before she annointed the first time, and nipple cream interests her.

That is such a cute story Nancy!! Our baby bit my hubby 2 nights ago for some weird reason. She has never bitten either me or my daughter ever and we handle her bare handed almost all of the time. My hubby has not held her alot though and maybe he had some interesting smell on him? She didn't break the skin but left 4 little tooth marks on him for a few days...it was actually kind of cute the little teeth marks and I had to keep looking pretending I wanted to see how his hand was. He has alot thicker skin than either my daughter or I do and I think she would have broken through the skin on us.

Thank goodness we will probably never have to find out! She can get very aggressive at timew while playing and will just attack whatever is nearest and grap on and pull and chew. I bet she is teething a little.

Did you have to blow on her face to get her to let go? Hubby just lifted his hand slowly and said "hey she bit me" and then she let go and touched her feet on his leg and sat there looking like "hey what's everyone looking at me for?"

No, she just bit and let go. She probably realized she made a mistake.
It is so funny who and what they will bite/nip over. Your hubby must have had some attractive smell on his hands. :)

Haha that is funny! I'm sure she realized it was an accident! I bet Jess was surprised though none the less!!! :)
