New to hedgehogs

Hi! My name is Tricia and I just adopted a hedgehog 2 weeks ago. His name is Jake and he is about 1 1/2 years old. I am his 3rd (and last) owner. He is not very social, but I am working hard on that.

I have never had a hedgehog before and am looking forward learning all I can about him. I have done tons of internet research, but was happy to find this forum so I could ask some questions. :hedge2:

I agree with Teasels Mom Hedgehogs are addicting. I started with one less than a year ago and now I have 12 and more on the way.
I know how huffy hedgies can be. But trust me hold him once a day (at least) and in no time at all he will be the friendliest thing on the block. also try hand feeding him some mealworms it will really open him up. but watch for those teeth.
This forum can be very helpful but you just have to watch for those people who want toscam not help. (not saying there is any one on this site like that)
