wow this is really complicated... i just read the powder that my vet gave me and it says (in korean) some complicated stuff.. but i can tell that it kills bacteria... so im pretty sure that its not a parasite that my hedgie has... so i hope that my hedgie gets well... as for that, i also think im gonna have to go back to purina cat food... its the food that my breeder recommends. currently, im feeding CSFTCLS and i think its horrible... it might also cause my hedgie's funky poops... so i think im gonna have to go back to purina... but the thing is, i read this site about what foods are good and not, and under the "bad" list, there was purina... is it really THAT bad?

in conclusion:
1. do you think I should go back to purina?
2. is it really considered bad?

thanks...

Personally, I have both of mine on CSFTCLS lite among with Spikes Delight mixed in. There is a PetSmart opening up soon and then I will be getting a bag of Wellness, Buffalo Blue and RC Slim and make a mix up containing all of this.
I also have read, not only on this board, but on every board that I have been to that Purina is bad for hedgies.
If you do decide to change foods, again, I think you should do it gradually by mixing the old food with the new at first. Sometimes changing foods can be stressful to the little guy. And changing back and forth can stress him out too. I have read elsewhere in this same forum how you searched until you found the CSFLCLS so I know that your only trying to do what's best for your hedgie.
JMO ok? But I would not take him off of the CSFTCLS just yet and give him a little chance to get used to it.

No way would I feed Purina. Yes it is bad.
CSFTCLS is one of the best foods there is for hedgies and I seriously doubt it would have caused the poop problems. You should not really even think about changing his food until this problem has cleared up or at least until he has finished his medication. :)

Well, names will come to you in their own good time. When you decide, I would really like to know. Best of luck!
