Maybe this will help.
According to my studies, it is rare for a hedgie to get fleas. They don't contract the same type of fleas that dogs and cats get.

Maybe you mean mites? Hedgehogs do get mites. The mites can cause them to scratch alot, like fleas do on dogs and cats.

Hedgehogs can get fleas but they have to get them from some other animal. I have never heard of a hedgehog on its own having fleas. Usually fleas happen when a household has a flea infestation from a cat or dog. :)
?????????????????????
I'm sure that there is a thing called Hedgehog fleas...which does not go on cats or dogs...
Have you heard of someone saying something similar to "My dog's got a hedgehog!"
That comes from THAT. Because in early ages, ppl don't know that hedgehog fleas do NOT go on dogs.

We've never heard of hedgehog fleas... except for the fleas that they could possibly contract from cats or dogs....
