It's very nice...looks like it might be a bit cold though b/c of the flooring. Does he have a hidding place?

I agree. Nice cage. I too am worried about the floor. Vinyl flooring is very cold feeling. I would suggest a nice thick liner of some sort over the floor. :)

He does have some vellux blankets that i put in with him from the old cage, I just hadnt put him in yet so they were in the other cage with him. And he does have a hiding place as well. I am going to get and under cage heating pad as well. So that his sleeping area will be warm.

The only thing I can think of is can he climb out? I have seen cages like those with pvc pipes lined around the interior and held on with garbage ties to prevent them from climbing out. Especially since its only one high, it might be too easy for him to climb out.

**Oops just noticed the linoleum on the sides. Sorry about that!!

Also did you use the tiles of linoleum or did you use like one big sheet? I ask because I used the linoleum tiles with my first cage, and I found that they are very difficult to clean. When they get peed on the urine seeps between the cracks and gets underneath. That may be another good reason to use liners, so they can soak up the urine. I really like the cage though, its nice and big and so pretty with the nice shiny silver  . Once I get more room a cage like that would be nice. Right now my boys are stacked vertically to save space.

LOL Im thinking of starting to stack vertically so that I can fit more hedgies into my room! ;)

I think that is a great cage! I love how big it is :) Your little guy will be so pleased with all that space to run around in.

If I had a home like that for each of my boys, I would probably get a bunch of PVC pipe and connectors, and make them a network of tunnels to run though :) I would probably have more fun building it than they would running through it!

my only thing is that it looks like it is sitting on the floor, if you have a way to raise it up, the law of thermodynamics might just help you with the whole idea of heat rising, thus making human feet as well as hedgie feet very cold, and since a hedgies feet have very short legs attached to them their whole body would get cold and thus would be helped by being off the floor. Just my 2 cents.

I think you should be very proud of yourself. That cage looks great for hedgie and is very esthetically pleasing to the human eye too. I too am worried about warmth, but don't know the temp of your room or the place he is in. seems it would be easy to add underfloor heating though or a heat source from above also. You have done a great job as long as your little one is warm enough! I'm totally jealous!
