My girly really doesnt eat her fruits & veggies? is there a way to get her to like them more? shes still young, so will it just take her time to get used to them?
i have been feeding grapes, a bit of banana, apple, melon, & for veggies, peas, beans, a tiny bit of corn(since its high in fat), & carrot.
any other ones that yours seem to enjoy more than another?
whats the trick to getting my hegie girl to eat healthy greens & fruit?

Depends on the beans but some varieties are a no, no as they cause bloating. Corn is a no no as it can't be digested.
Really they don't have to have fruits and veggies. Some love them and some don't. What she won't eat today she may love tomorrow. Just keep trying.

None of my hedgies like fresh vegetables but they will eat a little bit if it's in the baby food form. What I can't con them into eating, my gliders get as licky treats.
Baked sweet potatoes are liked by all. A favorite fruit is any kind of melon- watermelon is their favorite. They also like pears and apples in the form of baby food.

Try fruit or veggie baby food. You can get a sample pack with 4 different varieties in really little jars. That way you aren't wasting a whole jar in case your girl turns up her nose at it.
Beans, seeds, raisins are a no go.
Try dark leafy greens like spinach. Also, try cooking the veggies so they are a bit soft. As far as fruits, just keep trying a variety. Their tastes seem to change depending on the mood.
Picky little buggers, aren't they.
If Jake were typing, he would tell you to feed her bits of hard boiled egg. He'd eat egg for every meal if I let him.

  I have 18 out of 20 that would not touch a hardboiled egg if their life depended on it. The other 2 would give it a taste and that is all.

I have tried boiled eggs, and neither of them have touched them. I have also tried melon, watermelon, peaches, apples (somewhat liked), pinapple, cheerios (both boys liked one and only one), shrimp (wasnt touched), carrots, celery(neither of which was touched), Turkey, chicken, and veal baby food were rejected, Mashed peas were rejected, sweet potatoes were rejected. I just fed Yogies yesterday and they liked them, although not loved. Basically Tico LOVES beef baby food, and any kind of insect. Nemo likes mealworms and thats about it. But I continue to waste money trying to persuade them to eat these things anyway (0:

So funny that your guys won't eat egg. Jake jumps on it as soon as I put his food dish in and eats like he thinks I am going to take it away. Although, truthfully I haven't found much he flatly refuses to eat. There are certainly things he likes more than others, but he will try just about anything. He puts the "hog" in hedgehog.

well, i will have to give the baby food a try.. my gliders also seem to like it in 'baby' form. lol
Thistle really likes bananas, melon, grapes.. so i suppose that is good enough.. just some days shes a bit more picky..
the beans were regular old green beans.. that does make sence about the bloating.. what about kidney? (probly in the same boat?)
also, corn shouldnt be fed AT ALL then? or is it ok for her to have a bit..(not that she would touch it anyways.) lol
picky picky!
She really wont touch bugs either.. does that also come with age?(again- like the gliders)
How many & often do you feed mealies & or crickets? What one is better to use & better for them?
i guess if i were eating about the same meal everyday i may tend to be a bit fussy too.
i will have to change that.. She needs a variety so i guess we will explore all the possible dinner selections.
what about cooked noodles? (unseasoned & or saused?)
my gliders LOVE noodles, (in little portions on occasion.) would that be an ok thing to feed? a lot of carbs though.. lol ya know, for that hedgie watching her figure.
how creative can you be with feeding them? And what is toxic & or harmful in any way to them. (feeding wise)
