I have a few questions about hedgehogs and sleeping. I know they sleep during the day, and that babies sleep alot. (sorry if these have been addressed some where...I searched it and didn't find it in here)
My questions is, in what position do they 'normally' (if there is such a thing as normal when refering to hedgies) sleep in. Tonight, I got freaked out, I'm sitting here on my computer with Kiya on my stomach, and all of a sudden, she starts rolling down me. It kinda freaked me out because I feard she'd slipped into Hibernation. But now she is sleeping on my stomach again, laying as flat as a hedgie can.
And then, my other question is has anyone ever had any long term negative effects of waking a sleeping Hedgie up out of his/her bed? I got Kiya on friday, and people are curious, and have come over to see her. (all of which, by the way, have agreed she's cute :D (...I'm a proud father....)) But today I woke her up three times out side of my normal time, and I had to take her out of her home. (An Igloo with a vulux (sp?) blanket) Could doing this too often make her feel as though her home isn't safe?
