What food are you currently feeding Spike? If you are slowly adding in some Royal Canin & Chicken Soup for the Cat Lovers, that is good news. Royal Canin and Chicken Soup are good quality foods (unlike Browns....you are wise to switch). But just slowly introduce the new food a bit at a time -- mix it in with whatever you are feeding now until the old food is gone. Then just continue with the Royal Canin & Chicken Soup.

By the way, how is our little friend Spike doing? Is he behaving himself?

Calm down, all will be fine. The way I understand your post, your presently feeding Spikes Delight and wanted some more of it so you could slowly introduce the RC and the CSFTCLS and now can't find anymore SD but you already have some RC. If this is correct, then you have the right idea and are planning to do the right way of swiching foods for the little guy. Good for you! However, since you can't get anymore of the SD, then that is out of your hands. You have to go ahead and start him on the RC that you already have and then introduce the CSFTCLS in the manner in which you have already described. Marco came with some food that I didn't care for much and only a small bit of it. I had to start him on the CSFTCLS "cold turkey" so to speak and although he didn't eat much for the first few days, he gradually begin to consume more and more until he soon was eating normally. Your trying to do the right thing, get him eating quality food and I think that everything will be ok. Keep us updated please.
