I don't find any problem with the smell of CSFTCLS.

CDFCLSL has a good clean smell. It should not smell like "rotten fish". Even though I'm a vegetarian, I can appreciate the fresh pleasant smell of the food.
Maybe you are not getting a fresh bag?

I would take the bag back to the store and have them take a wiff. If there is indeed a problem with it, perhaps they will send it back to the company, and give you a new bag.

The store that I used to work at often did this with bags of ProPlan. Comstomers would bring them home only to find horrible smelling food, or food with bugs in it. The problem was not our store, the problem was at the plant itself. This is just one of the many reasons why I dislike ProPlan so much.

Nevermind, I found the answer myself. However, I now feed Royal Canin Slim. Is there pros and cons between the two foods that people have found? Also, Do people feed the CSFTCLS light formula rather than the regular since most of the diets for hedgies are light diets?

Hi Haley :)
I feed the light formula. Both Royal canin and csftcls are very good foods for your hedgie.
Are you feeding "just" royal canin? If so, hedgies really need a mix of foods so why not try mixing both?

Mixing both brands, or mixing light and regular. Right now I am feeing strickly the Royal Slim, but my cat eats the CSFTCLS so it wouldn't be hard to mix.

I would use a mix of your Royal Slim with the csftcls light version.
It is always good to give them a variety of foods to make sure they get all required nutrients, plus in the chance that you can't get the royal slim, you will always have something else your hedgie is used to eating. Hedgies HATE change, and have been known to go on hunger strikes when they don't have the food they are use to eating.
I use a mix of:
csftcls light
Innova light
Wellness super 5 mix
8-1 Advanced Nutrition Diet Hedgehog food.( this is not a really good food, but it is for hedgies, and they only get a few kibbles of this)
