I hope that this is in the right section..... Sometimes when I'm looking at web sites, ads, or posts I see many repeats of the same names. What names do you think have been excessively over-used. Sometimes I read a name of a chinchilla and want to scream and pull my hair out.:dizzy:
Like Pickachu, Picka, Raichu (are those spelt correctly? or is it ee not i?), Chilli, Chilla, Chinney, Chinna... They drive me crazy.
Hope I didn't offend anyone....Sorry to all who have chins with those names if you are offended.

Dmi (aka Demerol) was born on the morning of my husband's back surgery. When he came to, I asked him how he felt...and he was in "a happy place". I found out that he was on Demerol...so that's how she got her name. She's in with Pepsi, so their first babies will be Caffine and Codine. ;-)

Galtinel, those are the cutest names. :) I thought Banza(Garbanza) was original(I mean, she is named after a chickpea!), but someone else in another forum actually has a chin named Garbanzo or Garbanzo Bean if I remember correctly.
I've seen Speedy and Gizmo used a few times.

LOL, i know it sounds typical for a chin name, but i always thought the name "Dusty" was cute for a chin. If/when i get more chins, and i get a beige one, i'm going to name him "Dusty". It just fits a chinnie :) As far as my own chins go, i don't know of anyone else with a chin named "Chuck". Zippy might be more popular, but i don't know of anyone with a chin named that, either. I don't really like naming my pets "typical" names, i try to choose one that suits thier personality more. The "typical" names kind of get on my nerves, too, lol! When i worked at an animal hospital, i saw a lot of dogs named "Toby". For some reason, that name just gets on my nerves because its so typical of a name for a dog. That and "Princess". Uggghhh!! So unoriginal!

I've owned liked 4 DUSTY'S they all come to me with that name...... It's like magnetical...or something.
How's about a male white dog being named Snowball? lol. So NOT an original name, but it's funny just because it's a male... I feel sorry for our neighbors long haired chihuahua, poor guy.
