Hi everyone!
Hope everyone had a great Holiday!
I know I did - on Christmas Eve, I went to the airport to pick up my new baby hedgie - Calvin! He's a cinnacot pinto boy from Tig at hedgehogvalley.
Thought I would post pictures for everyone to see.
He is such a sweetie:love: . He gets scared, but as he balls up, he immediately starts unballing to investigate whatever made him ball up! :laugh:
He doesn't mind being handled at all - on day three he let me pet his forehead and nose! He is quilling so he doesn't much like having his back touched, but he tolerates it - which I take as a good sign.
Right now, he's sound asleep and would be snoring if he could! lol lol. He's flattened his body up next to the fan on my laptop to keep snug and warm! :laugh:
So, how did Calvin get his name? As mom and I were coming up with a list of names, she saw one of my brother's Calvin and Hobbes' book. You know that impish grin Calvin has? Looks just like hedgie when he puts his forehead quills partway down and tilts his head!! It fit perfectly!
