How can a guest view a user profile? I was looking under currently active users and this is what I saw?

The only thing I can think of is maybe an "invisible user" is looking at that profile, or thread. So that way it doesn't have their name, but still shows them online. Just a thought. I have no idea if that is true, but it would make sense.

This forum is running a very out of date version of this software - newer versions will show search engine crawlers separate from true guests. What you probably saw was either a guest getting an error message that they had to register, or a search engine 'crawler' indexing the site and trying to access a profile.

If I log off, I can view the profile. It seems that the permissions are set such that you don't have to log in to view a user profile, but do in order to email or PM the person. You can view threads as a guest as well.
