Has anyone heard that New York State is planning to ban hedgehogs? I know they are banned in NY City but this will be a state wide ban.
A friend of mine mentioned she had heard it but has been unable to find anymore info. :)

I heard recently from a friend of mine that a new exotics law was made. I did some research and hedgehogs didn't seem to violate it. I'm not exactly sure if I found the right law or not. I am also unsure of whether or not I understood what it was saying :| I hope not, I don't want to give up my baby :(

NOOOOOOOOOOO they cannot ban hedgehogs from NEW YORK! If they do will they have to take away my spike? ohh please i hope not

Why would they ban hedgehogs? That doesnt make sence. The turtles we have are illegal to buy, but you can have them. They did that because they can have samonila (sp?) if you dont look after them and wash your hands. But why hedgehogs?
