well i let them sit in water, then I usually let one of indys feet fall between my fingers and go in with the clippers. usually since he is laying on my hand it works.

Sometimes it takes four hands. Try getting someone to hold him while you clip. Im lucky in that Bosco lets me just grab his feet and go for it. I havent tried to do Murdocs yet because I clipped them myself while he was passed out at the vet. I dont think he is going to be as easy as Bosco.

Hey, I have to clip my hedge's nails, but she won't let me trust her. She really needs it, cause they are starting to curl. Do I wait till she can trust me, or do I try to clip them when she is trying to curl up.

Try doing them with her in the bath. They cant curl up while they are sitting in water. It also might make it easier to have one person hold her while she is in the water, and another clip her nails. Sometimes it can be difficult as heck to hold still a squirming hedgie and clip nails at the same time!
EDIT- wow, didnt realize I posted on this one already! Just to update though on Murdocs latest visit (Wednesday), I got the vet to do his nails while he was gassed. With anyluck we will figure out why he still isnt eating and the next visit will be specifically for getting his nails done...

I do Jake's nails in the bath too. He is too wiggly otherwise. I bought baby nail trimmers. $1. They have a fat handle, so they are easy to hold onto when your hands are wet. But they are a great size to keep from cutting the quick.
Jake balls up like crazy so the bath helps. I just catch his little food between my thumb and forefinger so his toes spread. Makes clipping easier. I also only do one foot per day. Actually, I have never had to clip his front nails.
If you give it your best shot and still can't get the hang of it, the vet will knock him out and do it.
