Hi :(
Yesterday morning I lost my best buddy SteweyBoy to bladder stones.

Tuesday night I took him to the emerg vet who kept him over night for observation because He looked uncomfortable. Horriable news,Dx was stones. So 1st thing Wednesday morning I braught him to my usual vet for emerg surgery. Complete recovery accomplished,my buddy was a trooper and a miracle!! Visits to the hospital went great, SteweyBoy looked great,everything was great!
Monday, my Stewey passed away.
Can anyone help me understand this? Is this unusual?
I am beyond heartbroken and miserable. I cant believe my little friend isn't coming home to me Wednesday like the Drs thought he would be.....
Thanks for your help and for listening

It's hard to lose a chinny friend, they really do become like children :(

It sounds as though you did all the right things, I'm so sorry about your loss. {{{{{ Big chinny hugs }}}}}

My chin Sam died from complications from bladder stones also - he had 11 of them and couldn't pee - he was whimpering and in obvious pain. In a 3 day time span we thought it was a bladder infection and drained his bladder - no better the next day, went to another vet who took an xray, and boom - we drove to NYC to get 11 stones removed. We got all removed successfully, he was recovering, then he all of a sudden had kidney failure and died. :( I know what you're going through! *Hugs*

:( I'm so sorry for your loss!! I haven't had my Toby all that long, but I'm already so attached to him, I'm terrified of anything happening to him. I'm always so busted up when I loose one of my animal friends, so I know it must be so hard for you right now. You have my sympathy, long-distance hugs, and prayers!! Hang in there, hon!!
