OK first off. Quilling. Every time I pic up fizzy I put her on the couch with me and pet her and try to get her used to me. But I swear, that in a month i will have enough quils off of her to build a new hedgehog! I dont pull them out. They fall off on the couch. Is this normal? Could it be stress?

OK secondly. Me and John are leaving in a week for 3 days to go to my parents. They only live a hour away but we will be staying there over night, 2 nights. Our other pets will be fine to leave, we just have to leave them food. What about fuzzy? My mom doesnt mind if she comes or not. Would this be a good idea? I know it will be stressfull for her, but if we leave her here she will be ignored for 3 days. What do you guys think? Oh. There is only a cat at my mom's place. We have 2 cats here so that whont make a difference

Sounds like she is quilling and that is normal. No problems there! :)

Second, if you leave her at home you will need someone to check the temperature in the house frequently and turn on and off the lights. :)

Travel didn't seem to bother Jake and he is a grouchy, moody little guy! I took him from Portland, OR to Nashville, TN this Christmas. LOOONG plane rides! We even got stuck in the airport overnight.

Just make sure you are able to keep Fuzzy warm. I put Jake in a basket/purse thing with a lid that was almost a foot deep. I lined it about 3/4 with newspaper and put one of his baby blankets on top so he could burrow in. I also put in one of those chemical handwarmer things. They are little pouches that you are supposed to put in your pockets to keep your hands warm. You can find them in the camping section of almost any store and they are cheap. Just check frequently to make sure that your hedgie isn't getting too hot. Those things put out a lot of heat.

Bringing Jake along was easier than trying to explain to someone about the heating, and light, and food mix.

If you bring some familiar stuff like blankets, bedding, toys, and dishes then she shouldn't be too stressed.

Well I have taken Indy to my moms house, for the day, and night I just made sure I had something familiar with him and that when I went to sleep he was warm and had food and water, I also covered his cage with a blanket so as to keep the drafts out if there were any.
