My man gets a meal of 3 tsp. of Royal Canin 38 Slim, 1 tsp. of fruit/veggie mix, and 6 freeze dried Flucker Mealworms or 1-2 freeze dried Flucker Crickets everynight. As far as the fruits and veggies goes, I go to Walmart every 2 wks. and pick 2 random veggies, and a random fruit. I was wondering, does anyone know of any fruits and veggies that are harmful to hedgehogs, so that I don't make the mistake of feeding these to him??

rasins are not good cause they can get stuck to the top of the mouth.

I've been wondering the same thing. I did know about the raisens though. I've also heard that citrus is bad and so are onions. That's pretty much all I know though. Not much help, am I?

It is important to remove the peel and the seeds of any fruit / vegetable. Don't feed him with acidic fruits (pineapple, orange, tomato) (or in very very small quantity). Corn and potatoes are not good I think. Dry fruits are definitively a big no no because they can get stuck on the roof of their mouth. Avocado is too fatty for them.
If you give him carrots, maybe it is a good idea to cook it first (because if it is raw, it can get stuck on the roof of their mouth).
And I read somewhere that it is not a good idea to give them lettuce because it can sometimes give salmonella to the hedgie (but I don't know if it is true).
And as Pippin'sMom said, onions are not good for a hedgie.
i would think a hedgie could only get salmonella from lettuce if the lettuce is already carrying it?
