I have tried so many different treats and toys but Prick doesnt eat or play with any of them. I have tried watermelon, baby food, apple(peeled), chicken just about everything and he wont touch any of them. The only thing i have given him treat wise that he has touched are mealies.

I have a tp tube in his cage, as well as some toy cars, a stuffed animal, and a rubber ducky. He doesnt play when anything. Or he puts everything back exactly where i placed them. I also give him different size boxes to play in and he doesnt go in them either.

Does anyone have anything else i can try to give him. He does run is his wheel alot.

Thanks

For treats both mine love crickets, live or pre killed. As for toys, it seems to take a while for the TP to be cool to use, mine just looked at it and now they move it around. I have ferret tubes that they run through, I made a burrow box which they both like, its basically a box with vellux cubes and strips crammed in it.

I have went through this same thing with Odo and Marco. I think Marco plays with his tube from time to time because it is moved sometimes. Marco will eat only crickets for treats and Odo will eat only mealies for treats. Frodo will eat anything he comes across and will play with anything he can move. Different hedgies have different personilites.

try a cat toy with a bell, my little Marigold seems to like that :) I think it is the noise of the bell when she pushes it around. it so funny to watch

Popples won't touch is cat toy with a bell in it, i will play with is tp. I just gave him a box with different sizes of cut outs for doors and he seams to play with that, I also have a tub that i made from a water drain tub. Well that's about it what he plays with.

As for food treats, Jake really loves hard boiled egg. :slurp: A lot of other owners have said that their hedgies won't touch it, but it is worth a try.

Jake is the same way with toys. Unless he can hide under it, he has no use for it. Except for his wheel.

I just look at it as a life long experiment of trial and error.
