Here is the latest on my boy-

-Still working on getting him to eat hard kibbles without the baby food.
-Poops arent green anymore, but he doesnt seem to be pooping alot either- his wheel is so much cleaner now in the mornings than it was when he first got it.
-Still wheeling like a crazy man at night
-Acting otherwise normal
-Weight continues to go down:

Date Murdoc Weight
12/06/2004 630 grams
12/22/2004 580 grams
01/02/2005 565 grams
01/08/2005 540 grams
01/13/2005 528 grams
01/14/2005 AM 526 grams
01/14/2005 PM 522 grams
01/15/2005 AM -
01/15/2005 PM 516 grams
01/16/2005 AM 511 grams
01/16/2005 PM

Dont know if this is a good thing or not- Nancy and I are trying to figure it all out.

-His toe that was all messed up when I got him has healed perfectly
-Is coming around nicely. He loves to sleep all sprawled out on my lap under his Finding Nemo blanket.
-Is no where near as huffy as Bosco. Takes a couple minutes to settle down when you first take him out, but then he is normally good to go. Doesnt like being picked up much- but Im sure that will get better with time

Thats all for now-
I'll try and keep everyone updated when anything else comes up

Thats for the updates!

If you think about it though, he's finally probably shedding all that extra weight off now. You said he's running like a crazy man on his wheel, that with a good quality diet would get him to loose a lotta weight that he doesn't need. I wouldn't be too worried about him just yet, my guess would be that soon he'll probably start evening out at a weight, but thats just IMO.

That's my thoughts on it too Lauren. It is his not wanting to eat food other than baby food that is more of a concern. These hedgies sure like to worry their momma and their Aunty Nancy. :)

Thanks for the updates. You have the best people working on the eating problem, so I will bow out here.

I agree that it sounds like he's losing weight due to working out and eating better. :) Go Murdoc, I say. Fantastic job Laura. :)

-Didnt eat any food last night - just licked the baby food off of the soaked kibbles (BRAT!!)
-Ran on his wheel, making a very nice mess (mommy is proud LOL)
-Poops look to be an alright color
-Weighed in this morning at 504 grams, and last night at 509 grams.

-Going to try soaking and mashing the kibbles again- plus mixing with baby food.

-Is driving Laura and Aunt Nancy CRAZY LOL

Stay with him Laura. :)
See? I told you at the very beginning that this little guy needed you. I am so glad you ended up getting him.

Oh I dont plan on going anywhere. All of this makes me love the little guy even more. :)

Im really glad that I ended up getting him as well. I hate to think what might have happened to him if someone else got him to wasnt dedicated to getting him well.

-My boy is up and wheeling still - Bosco on the other hand is passed out in his hedgiebag. Neither were impressed when I turned on the lights.
-Mashed up kibbles last night and added baby food- he ate some of that- not a whole lot, but some :)

Wishing that I could sleep as well as Bosco. Insomnia sucks.
