Now I get it!

My other hedgehog was not very fond of people and pretty much all my associations with her were disappointing and painful and I just didn't get why people where so crazy for hedgehogs. I didn't even know they could put thier quills down! My new Pinto hedgie was raised right in a good home and is sweet and funny and too cute for words. She's a bit grumpy in her new home but still unrolls whenever she is in my hand. She even gave me a KISS on the first day! I'm hooked! :love:
Now I understand all these people nuts for hedgies! It's really special when this prickly ball of quills unrolls and lays those quills down and trusts you!
I've named her Sprinkles because when she's rolled up she looks like a scoop of icecream coverd in chocolate and vanilla sprinkles and because she is such a sweetie! Here she is, isn't she just devine! :laugh:

LOL and I know exactly what you mean about not understanding what is so great about hedgies when you have a little devil on your hands. It took me about a month before Bosco even began to show signs of coming around. When all of my hard work finally began to pay off....that was when I understood why, and how people are so infactuated with these little guys. They special beyond words- and Im SOOOOO glad that I didnt give up on Bosco. Id do anything for my boys :)

How old is she? She looks rather young.
I had never seen a hedgehog before Odo. She was purchased by me as a present to my wife who had had a hedgie before. It didn't take very long before I began to see just how special a hedgehog is. Now, all three of mine are not pets, they are more like family members.

Yep, she's a baby alright, born 10/26/04. She came from TLC Hedgehogs is Missori... I would recommend them 100%, you can tell Sprinkles was handled a lot and raised right! :applause:
