My hedgie does not seem to be furry on the stomach as it seems it should be. The fur seems to be really thin. I can see the pink on the stomach. Is that normal? also, how pink is the skin supposed to be? I don't know what to do. I really think there's supposed to be more furr on the stomach. What can i do to help that? :(

Annie's fur is a tad thin. if you look in my gallery you'll find a pic of noel on her back and you get a really good look at her stomach. it looks almost orange in the pic, only beacuse she was pregnant and was extreamly fat

My hedgie has very thin fur on her belly with a lot of pink skin showing through. It has thickened a bit as she's gotten older, but it still always looks thin to me. *shrugs*
For your other question, my hedgie's nose is also very wet, almost all the time. My understanding is that a wet nose is a sign of good health. Wet nose with mucus or sneezing, stuff like that, is bad news.

She is almost three months old so she is still just a baby. Her belly fur will probably grow thicker as she ages. At her young and tender age, there are going to be a lot of changes to her. Including her color when she starts quilling. If you haven't already, I would suggest that now might be a good time to do some researching to prepare yourself. Judging from your questions, you have a lot of studing to do! lol :)
I look forward to hearing all about her changes as she grows up and seeing photo's.
BTW, a cold wet nose is a good sign. What you don't want to see is a runny snotty nose which can be a sign of several different illness, none of which is good.
