Well I have never given my hedgehog a bath, but would like to try it. She is close to a year old. I have many animals so I know what the temp. of the water should be and everything, and the bath will be in my Bathroom Sink. I'm sure she's going to be scared and want to get out or maybe roll into a ball...right? How should I "give her a bath?" Just have the water go on her and everything? Is that what you consider a hedgie bath? All other comments and advice are appreciated!
Thanks :)

well when i give Popples a bath all i do it put about 2 inch of water in the sink, then i take a little cup or my hand and cup up some water, just avoid pooring water by her head. I use baby wash that i add to the water and i use a toothbrush for is quills. then i take clean water and rinse him off and then wrap him up in a towel.

Thanks. Baby Wash? Any other shampoos allowed for hedgie baths? Like White Rain or Pantein Pro V? Doesn't going over the quills hurt them? I have a toothbrush I can use...Do I just wait for her quills to "fallten" and go the way the quills go?

Where did you hear that Baby Wash is safe? Maybe that will help me in my search about other brands...

any tearless baby shampoo or feline shampoo that is tearless will work, or you can get exotic pet shampoo what ever the case, all you need is a little bit.

What about dog shampoo? We have that! lol. Also how often should hedgies get baths when they're not getting dirty?

Usually only one to two baths a month except for foot baths, those you can give more often to get poo off their feet.

I know some people use a pantyhose-toe (or something like that) filled with quick oatmeal instead. It helps keep the skin from drying out.
The handful of times I gave my hedgie a bath, I had to hold her in one hand and sponge water over her back with the other.

Thanks. Before I give her her first bath tonight I just want to make sure one of my shampoos are safe. So please help with that. ;)
