Here's a website for our little Harris. Check out the sweet pad he's got haha. Along with some "making of photos." Also a couple video shots. He is an absolute darling. SIGN HIS GUESTBOOK! :D

Not to be critical but the ramps you have installed look very steep. Also ramps should be enclosed so that hedgie cannot fall and break a leg or something else. Does he climb the ramps? I would consider enclosing the ramps for peace of mind.

Wow, Awesome cage!
I do agree with Tampa though. The ramps look too steep but if he can go up and down them that isn't a problem.
I would suggest that you enclose the ramps. Hedgies will walk of edges of things without giving it a thought and have suffered fatal injuries from falls. I would also put a barrier around the ramp openings also just so he doesn't fall through.

To Teasel and Tampa and anyone else worried about little Harrison...
I don't have updated pics, but the day Harris officially moved in, my boyfriend installed 3-4 in high plexiglass barriers on both the ramps and along all open sides of the floors so he is one safe little Hedgie. Once I saw just how small he was, I made my boyfriend go right out to Home Depot and install them before Harris even woke up for his first night in his new home. I was also worried about the steepness of the ramps, but we put nice grippy padding on the ramps and watched him for a few hrs; 1- to make sure he wouldnt try to eat it and 2- to make sure he wouldn't slip anyways. It took 2 days before he was able to go up and down with confidence. You should see him run up and down them now... he's been in his new home for 2 months now and just loves it (doesnt use the top level too often though, prob 'cause there's really nothing up there except for his extra sleeping bag and a cat toy ball.)
I'll let you know when there's an updated picture and maybe a video of Harris showing his skills at using his ramps - I was so proud of him the first time he went up and down without being lured with food!!

WOW!!! What a great hedgie home! Looks like it was a lot of work, but it came out great! Harrison is a lucky little boy (he's very handsome too, I might add! Beautiful coloring).
