well i'm moving on monday of course the day i have to write my history exam but no one seems to care, my mum is going insane with packing and is driving me insane! she asks me to sort throught a box of old school papers so i do , then after i'm done she asks what was in the box and i tell her, and shes like ohh don't throw away your old school stuff :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: , and of course we don't have a house and so we have to move into a rental  so i won't be able to get at any of my stuff until april! or whenever we find a house, well we sort of found one but the people won't get out until the middle of april and i don't want to wait that long but of course when i say this, my mum is like well we haven't found any other houses and you are the one that said you wanted to move befor the spring! Well april is not before the spring, Sorry for rambling for so long i'm not having a good day :( I was just wondering if anyone has ever moved with a hedgehog before, I plan on taking my pets down to my dads on sunday night till monday evening so they be here when the movers come and then moving them monday night after i get my stuff in. but i don't know how happy Briar is going to be :|

I understand how frustrating moving can be. It is hard to have to go thru boxes of your things . . . what to keep and what to throw away. Ugh! If mom wants you to go thru more of your stuff, put the "throw away" stuff in a seperate bag/box. Then ask her if she wants to go thru your "trash" so she get upset with your sorting. Moms are sentimental about some things so you might have to cut her a little slack :)
Last May I moved 8 hours away from all of my family and friends. It was really difficult. I didn't know how long I could stand it. Fortunately, we had the opportunity to move only 2-1/2 hours from my family and friends back in November. Whew!! What a relief!!
So, things will get better. Your mom could very well find another house that you like better! Things will get better!
I think you have a good plan regarding your critters. Its a good idea to keep them out of the confusion of the move.
Best wishes and lots of hugs!

julie julie julie. you know that i am here if briar needs a place to stay for a while, or if you need ANYTHING!! have patience, i know that it is really stressing you, i can sense it. i know it is frustrating to be moving during an exam, but think about it, you won't have to deal with any movers. Briar will be fine i assure you. Taria and i went to my grandmothers forthe weekend and she was fine. God has a plan for you moving, so just keep watch on houses, and don't stress. when do you plant your flowers anyways, i thought it was in like the end of may?

Grrrrrrr! Isn't moving horrible? Moving with pets is even worse. You are right about taking Briar to your Dad's house during all the confusion. That way she will be out of the way. You have enough to worry about without stressing over your baby. :(
Are you able to bring her whole cage or are you using a temporary one at your Dad's? If only a temp, just remember to bring something familiar.
I am sorry your life is going to mixed up for a while. Don't let all the chaos get to you.

I know its not the same, but I am from Houston,TX and I went to college in Baton Rouge,Louisiana. I had two cages, one in Houston and one in Baton Rouge and I use to take Hedwig back and forth in the car once or twice a month. It got to the point where when I put him in his huge travel case, he knew just to curl up and sleep. He was a good boy. :)
