I am slightly concerned about this.... She isn't biting hard, but it is enough that it makes me uneasy to hold her. Once she climbed right up my chest and bit me on the neck. Last night she nibbled on my fingers a few times until I put her down.

I have been wearing a wrist brace and it tends to get a bit stinky, but last night I had just taken a shower and I didn't have the brace on. Shampoo?!? Soap? I want to be able to hold her but I don't want to be bitten either.

well if you use scented shampoo or soap that would probably be it. who knows, indy bit me almost every night for a week then stopped and hasnt done it since.

Does she lick and then bite? If so its probably something on you that tastes "good". If not she may just be a nipper- some hedgies are. I would say the best thing to probably do is just not to put her down when she does it. If she is indeed biting because she wants down that will only teach her that when she bites she gets her way. Instead, I would try holding her wrapped up in something so she cant get to you.

Luck!

I read somewhere to gently blow in their face when they bite. I've tried it on Jake, but he is not much of a biter anyway so I can't tell you if this method works.

Maybe you just taste like meat sticks or meal worms or something yummy?

You have to scroll down to the biting section, but there is a ton of information on this page.

She doesn't really lick me before she bites. She will sniff a little more than usual and then nibble, so I am pretty sure she just likes how I smell/taste. I wish she were that interested in some of her treats.

I didn't read your whole thing as I'm halfway out the door for class so this might not be relevant... but sometimes a change in behavior can mean a change in health.

She may be biting because she likes your smell. Have you changed soap, shampoo, laundry soap or anything recently that she might find more interesting than the old. :)
