Is Select Diet still a great thing to feed your hedgies. My Frodo was an avid fan of it. My two new boys want nothing to do with it and are only eating the Eukanuba kitten food I bought them. Also, who is the manufacturer of Select Diet?

I can't seem to find a food named "Select Diet". Do you have a link?

I fed both Frodo and Sam Select Diet, but my new boys aren't going for it at all.

Ingredients:
Animal protein and fat (preserved); cereal products; molasses; phosphoric acid; vegetable fat; salt; d-biotin; vitamin E; iron; copper sulfate; minerals; niacin; vitamins B-12, B-6, B-5, A, D-3 and K; calcium pantothenate; cobalt; folic acid; selenium. Propionic acid added as a preservative.
Sounds iffy, they don't even give a complete list of ingredients....unless that's really it, then it's probably not a good choice. :|

Thanks for the link. I didn't know it was hedgie food and not cat food. Guess that's why I couldn't find it.

The fact that it says "animal" protein and fat makes me uneasy. What kind of animal? Cat, dog, cow, deer, pig, horse, chicken, hippo? If they dont specify the type of animal protein, it could be anything.....ick.
Also they dont say what it is preserved with....could be BHA, BHT or ethoxyquin...
I would ditch it personally.

Exactly...the list was very dodgy, almost like they were afraid to put the whole thing.
Lol, tasty hippo....

Merlin eats it. He won't eat anything else.
