Ok, so I got Oda about 30 days ago January 8th to be exact. So here is my question, I ment to ask this before but I thought I had my answer but now I have decided to ask it anyway. Ok so she was housed with a male hedgie for a couple days according to the previous owner, so I am wondering if she might be pregnant. Is there anyway I can tell, I mean with out an x-ray or something similar? I know the nipples are supposed to get larger, but I have no idea what they are supposed to look like normally. So anyone have any great insight? She is acting normal from when I got her, she has lost some weight and she runs on her wheel every night a lot. Her food intake is up, but I think that might be due to the fact that she exercises a lot now. So does anyone have any good info, I did some reading, and she does not seem to be nesting, but thats about all I have.

She will start to look broad and you will notice more fur at her sides as her tummy bulges. Some hedgies don't gain much weight though.

If she is pregnant she would be due anytime. I suggest giving her a nesting box with toilet paper and shavings in it. Clean her cage and then don't bother her too much for the next few weeks. Feed and water her only and pick out whatever poops you can grab while you are refilling her dishes. Take her wheel out as they will carry their babies while wheeling and it usually kills the baby. Good luck! :)

Oh, and I forgot to add. You should put her in a bin instead of the C&C cage as babies would escape that no problem and also she will feel more secure in a smaller cage with solid sides. :)

Ok, her cage is smaller, thats no big deal, I put her in indys old cage which has high plastic sides. To me she doesnt look broad, and her fur is the same on the sides. She has a box, its got vellux strips in it (i have lots of vellux strips) The cage is super clean and her wheel will be coming out.
So I guess i will wait and see.
