I joined the c-n-q forum this morning at my friend Jenn's urging... My name is Lindsay, I'm 21 and live in BC, Canada.

I just got a new hedgehog about an hour ago! He's albino, and I think he's going to end up being named Alex. I held him a little bit just after he got here and he was a bit balled up but I talked to him quietly and he relaxed and finally unballed, though his quills were still up. He started walking and crawling over my hands, and I finally set him down on my bed and he walked around it for a bit. I put him back in his tank (10 gallon aquarium--thanks to Jenn, though, I'm getting him a bigger 'real' cage (http://www.petco.com/product_info.asp?familyid=8868&sku=9161100264&tab=6&dept_id=1577&c1=1569&c2=1577&c3=&ct1=Guinea+Pigs&ct2=Cages+%26+Habitats&ct3=) this weekend)... Tomorrow I'm going out to get some fleece to line his cage with and then I'm giving some to Jenn to make me a couple hedgebags with.

If you'd like to see pictures, which I'm sure you all would, you can click the link in my signature, and it takes you to my gallery. There are just six pictures right now but you can be sure there'll be more soon. Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself because I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot of me with many questions!

Hahah, hello you. I can hear him snuffling around in his little box right now, I'm really glad I put it in there even if it's just a temporary hideout! He was curled up in the corner last time I checked. I'm sure I'll be asking tons of questions, you'll get sick of me. ;)

Congratulations on your new friend, have you thought about a C & C cage they are cheaper than store bought cages and are alot bigger.
This cage cost me about $20.

Fortunately, to save Lindsay a little bit of money, I have a couple of spare cages, and I'm going to give her one. It's the cage I had orginally gotten for Sleepy when he first came home. Then he got upgraded to a 60 inch by 14 inch C&C cage.
