For those of you who have read my posts about my neighbors and their animals...the dog has finally passed away. It was unknown when she went exactly but as we went to feed her she was laying in her tiny lot, smooshed against the fence, dead. It was so sad...like her last plea to "let me out!" but yes...she is gone. And after we informed the owners they opened the lot door, took her up on the hill and burried her. They're keeping the lot door open so they can tell their daughter that she ran away  . It's sad the girl finally went...but I think it was now the best for her...there is no way she could have been "saved" even if she was taken from the people...she was just too used to that cage.
Anyway, I hope she has plenty of running room now...and plenty of fresh water and good food every day. It'll be odd not seeing her out there... :(
on another note...They're already looking into getting another dog...a puppy this time. If it happens I will contact the law and get it removed...I won't let this happen again  ...it was too depressing and too cruel.

Awww! that's so sad :( It's awful what some people do... sometimes I wonder what these animals think... I watch the animal cops shows, and the cases they get are awful! At least she's in a much better place now, where she can run and be loved 24/7

People are so sick sometimes ..... pets or children .... same difference. They both need a loving and caring environment to survive....

That story makes me feel like i'm about to break down crying. If I was in your position I don't know what I should of done. I'm just glad the dog is now in a better place.

:nolove: I do remember discussing this dog with you before. I am sad for her life but glad she was able to move on. I truely feel for you and the animals that keep being brought into that home, I'm sure you'll do what's best if it does happen again. I'm sure you and your family were the light and love she needed. I'm sure she'd thank you for feeding her and loving her when her own family wouldn't. She is in a better place now. It would be too hard for me not to just march right over there and tell that little girl the reality of her actions and that all these pets dieing is just plain wrong and she and her family don't deserve the unconditional love of these poor creatures who continue to be neglected in their care.

While I have not read the previous threads by you..I probably wouldn't wanted to have!! We recently took in an abandoned momma dog and one of her puppies from TX. She has heartworms and it is costing us several $100 to fix her. The puppy is healthy tho. Both were full of intestinal worms and undernourished. But let me tell you, Mamma is the sweetest of dogs. She is so loyal and loving. I was the only person she would let close enough to her to pet and within a little while she would let me pet her tummy. My hubby's family was amazed!! While she is still working on some minor personality issues, she is wonderful  People who are mean or abandon animals SUCK!!!
