People were so cruel to you! You won them ribbons, money, prizes, and then you stopped winning. They didn't think you were worth the care anymore, so they put you in a field, no food, no water, no shelter. You were almost dead when the ERL got you. We were so happy when you could go out and be with the other horses, you knew what it was like to be loved, to have friends, to be cared for. But the winter was too hard. You stopped eating, lost weight, and it was not fair for you to have to suffer through all of it. The ERL made the decision to put you to rest, and I know that you will be able to run freeley and be loved across the rainbow bridge.
Ginger was a horse rescued in September by the ERL. I saw her come out of the trailer. She was in awful condition. I did not foster, I asked to foster but someone else did- but they loved you, just like everyone at the ERL loved you. We hope that you know how much the ERL loves you and you will always be remembered.
