does a toilet paper roll have to be cut, so that your chin dosn't get hurt?

Toilet Paper rolls aren't too big, so i don't think so. My chin is playing with a new toilet paper roll right now and having a blast with it! It a pretty funny to watch them try to run around with this big tube hanging out of their mouth. If you think your chin might get hurt then cut it if you want. I've never cut mine though, and jax is fine. But then again, all chins are different :)

Jax sounds cute. I only ask about the toilet paper roll b/c I read somewere on her that you needed to, but I didn't think you would. I just like to ask before I risk my chins health though.

Good thinking! I would say cut a papertowel roll in half though. Unless you see the chin having a problem with the toilet paper roll then it should be just fine.

I have never cut my toilet paper rolls in half and I've never had a problem. All of my chins usually have a toilet paper roll in their cage, too, since I go through a lot of it with five kids. LOL

I have heard it suggested to cut TP and paper towel rolls lengthwise to prevent a chin getting it's head stuck inside.
My chins do not try and crawl inside these rolls. They simply chew and toss them around. If your chins are sticking their heads inside, a cut would be a good idea.

I never thought about using a toilet paper roll as one of there toys (not sure why makes since). But I do go down to the local carpet warehouse and get the left over cardboard rolls from the carpets. And I cut them down to fit. My chins love them, they are big enough for most (except my big ones) of my chins to climb inside. Mostly they just like to chew it to pieces.

As long as it does not have the glue on it. I read on another post in here that the rolls from wraping paper are better because they don't have the glue on them.
