I got Daisy the Zoomed Can O' worms and crickets and she doesn't seem keen. They do have a really strong odor to say the least, is that normal? When we put them in her cage she ignres tham and if anything seems to get away from them. Why won't she eat them? As anyone alse had this reaction to these products?

They do have a strong odor (they are packed in their own 'natural juices' :Pukey: ). My guy LOVES them though. But all hedgies have their own tastes, so it's not weird if Daisy doesn't care for them. Sometimes they can be picky little babies!

Is there an 'expiration date' of sorts on those? I mean after you open them, and they are in the fridge? I'm pretty sure there is a use by date on the bottom of the can, but I'm guessing that's an 'open by' date.

Good point, How long do they last once opened? do they freeze for longer storage?

Poodge is ok with the Fluker's freeze dried mealworms. They don't have much of a scent, just a little grainy. Poodge seems to like them better than the live ones. I've never tried the caned ones. I don't think I want to if they smell that bad.

They should last like 2 weeks in the fridge, at least thats what it says on the website for zoo med. My guys love the crickets but dislike the mealworms, and I would agree the meal worms look so nasty.

Yes, they do. I don't use them myself. None of my crew like them.

My crew also refuses them! I was so glad because they sure stink up the refrigerator. Freeze dried and the occasional live do just fine
