Silly question

In all the reading I have done lately...I have not seen this, so I thought I would ask. We will be getting Zeb on Wed and I just want to know. Do they need all the different types of chew things? Wood, pumice, lava rock? All of the above or one type suffice. Or is up to his preference? Being the anal-retentive mommy...I already have all of them, but is it a must to keep his teeth is good shape? Or do I just go with his fave? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

No, my chin only has bark bite wood chews and cuttlebone in her cage. Chinchillas need to chew, but they do not need every chewy available. I'd just pick your chins favorite.

I'd try a little bit of everything until you find your chinnies favorite. But they always need something fun to chew on in their cages to keep their teeth worn down and healthy. The more fun the chewy the more apt he is to using it faithfully - Jessica

My chins have mostly wood chews in their cages. The only form of pumice they will chew on are Lava Bites (triangle shaped from Super Pets) and they demolish those in an instant.
