Hello! My name is Holly, and on Saturday I will be the new owner of a lovely adult hedgehog named Pooka. She will be my first hedgehog, and my first "exotic" pet, as well. I'm very excited to have her! She is coming from a family who is unable to take care of her anymore (through no fault of the hedgehog's!). She is sweet and friendly.
Originally, I was on a breeder's list to get a baby hedgie, but she came along and I just could not resist!
Here is a picture of her (not sure how it's going to look, I had to resize).

Gosh she's cute. I'm so glad that you had the opportunity to help out Pooka.
I'm pretty new to this forum, but everyone on here is so helpful and nice. It's great to be abel to talk to people who know so much about hedgies, and are just as head- over- heels in love with them as I am.

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of! I've wanted one for a long time, but for a while was out of work and didn't feel that I could safely afford to have one. Now I've been secure for a few months, so I'm in a place where I can have her and not worry about breaking the bank for an emergency if needed. Also, I got her and all her supplies for free, so that was about $300 or so I'd planned on spending to buy and set up that I get to save.
Here is the other picture I have of her, w/ her current owner's doggy. So adorable! I'm sure I will have an obnoxious amount of pictures over the weekend.

One more thing, don't want to start a whole new thread for it - can anyone tell me what color she is? I mean, I can see she's brownish ;) but what color hedgie is she?
