Changing food

I am transitioning Quest from Pretty Pets to Spike's Delite Chicken & Rice. The lady I bought the food from told me that I should transition slowly. Starting with 3/4 Pretty Pets & 1/4 Spike's Delite the first 2 weeks, then 1/2 Pretty Pets & 1/2 Spike's Delite the next, etc. until she's totally on Spike's Delite. That's great but now she's tipping over her bowl (a new behavior) :rolleyes: , eating out the Spike's Delite and leaving the Pretty Pet. This is the second day of the transition and her stool is a little bit loose but not green or liquid. I know this is probably from the diet change. So, should I just jump right to all Spike's or keep up with the Pretty Pet mixed in?

I would suggest keeping the Pretty Pets in her current diet until you notice her stools looking normal. She's probably eating too much of the new stuff, so you want to give her tummy a chance to settle down as she adjusts.

It's odd because she doesn't like any treats but has taken very quickly to Spike's Delite. Silly little girl. I got that schedule when I called Vickie Jester of Hedgehogs by Vickie fame to order a Whisper Wheel and new food. She's been great.
