So, just a couple of questions that someone might be able to answer:

1. How many white quill (%) would a hedgie have to have in order to be considered a snowflake?

2. Can a hedgie be both a snowflake and a pinto? I assume they can but I haven't heard of any so I was wondering.

While I'm at it...does anybody know what the average number of quills an adult hedgehog has?

30% or more white quills is a snowflake.

Yes they can be snowflake and pinto's both.

Average # of quills. Danged if I know. Actually I did read that somewhere but can't remember where.

Thanks! My boy is more like 20% white quills but I don't think he's done quilling yet. He's also got the tiniest patch of all white quills on his right side...

If he is a pinto, the skin underneath the spot will be completely pink. :)
