Yeah, I may be a little dim but is foaming at the mouth normal. I mean like when I gave Nike some chicken he went all foamy as he ate it and looked like he had rabies or something  . It was kinda creepy. I've seen him foam up to self-annoint but eating  ? It just seems real odd.

Everytime I give my male hedgehog chicken, he annoints with it. Prior to annointing his mouth gets all foamy, but he keeps eating. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Okay thanks :) . It just seemed real odd because he didn't put any foam on his quills he just ate and foamed.

I think that mostly because they chew it up so much and it might be all juicy.. it just gets all over! haha.

The first time Teasel (my first hedgie) met my daughters boyfriend he must have had the smell of aftershave on his hands. The spit and foam just started pouring out of T's mouth. We were almost panic stricken until we figured out what it was from.
