Jealous of friends hedgehog

My coworker loved hedgie (aka Star) so much that she decided she wanted one. We searched online, called people, but couldn't find any breeders locally. A petstore in town had one, and we went just to look, LOL. It was a large female, healthy looking, no mites or missing quills, clean cage with hiding spots, eating decent food (exotic nutrition, better than vitacraft anyway), and had the most wonderful personality in the world! She didn't hiss or ball up at all, just was the sweetest thing. After 4 weeks Star is now relaxing with me, but still hisses if anyone touches her quills. I am so jealous, I really hope Star eventually gets to the point that this little one is at. (of course, don't tell my friend, but Star has a prettier face though, LOL) Anyway, needless to say she took the little cutie home. It was kind of late at night, so we went to KMart with hedgies in our pockets to get a rubbermaid, and i am bringing her more food today, a wheel, and some yesterday's news. The container she got is a little small for a separate litter pan, so when she gets another container to connect to that one I will get her started on liners, litter training, etc.

Aww she sounds like a sweetie. When I got Chloe my best friend wanted one too but her mom would never let her because she thinks that two cats and a dog are enough animals already. As for Star, just be patient and spend a lot of time just snuggling. Chloe spends hours sleeping on my mom and I while we watch tv or read. She loves the up and down of your chest or belly as you breathe. Good luck!
