Uh, I've never experienced quilling before because all my hedgehogs have come to me over eight weeks old. Milkshake's bday is 12-6-04 so she is about nine weeks old. There a little bits of what I think are dried blood on some of her quills. It may just be dried poop, but I was wondering if during the qulling process if there is ever a little bit of blood on the new quills?

I have never noticed it but I'm sure it could be possible. Those quills do poke through tender skin. It is most likely poop though. I find these light babies just love to get poop on them.
Oh, Milkshake is 1 day younger than Pebbles. So, litters at the same time. ;)

Even if it's not poop and it is blood it's a very tiny amount. I was just curious if that was normal or not as I've never experienced the quilling.
