Hog Naps

Hmm... One day, I was laying down to take a nap, and since Chunk's cage is directly infront of me when I'm laying down I noticed that he was standing up at the bars, poking his nose through like he wanted out.

So I got him out and took him back over to the bed and cuddled up with him, figuring I'd let him run around a little bit before taking my nap. (Mattress on the floor for glider/hedgie purposes... Don't want anyone falling off...)

He didn't crawl around to my surprise... Infact he found a nice plump pillow next to mine and curled up and went to sleep... I drifted off too but when I got up he was just sitting there, watching me.

Over the last couple of days we've done this. Take little naps. He begs to be let out of his cage when he see's that I'm laying down.

I'm not really worried about him wondering off. I've animal proofed my room... right down to taping any cords up higher on the wall or unplugging and putting things in dresser drawers intell needed.

Just wondering why he would do this. Normally hedgies should be sleeping when I take my naps, during the day. But nope... Chunks up and waiting for his nap too.

Oda does that with me, since I take a nap around noon she usually wakes up and takes a drink and looks at me for a while if i dont take her out she will go back to sleep, but if I take her out she climbs up next to me or on my stomach and falls a sleep. Not sure why maybe I am just more chushy then her cage is.

Hehe, maybe that's the case here. But I don't know... he loves his pouch... Sometimes I think he loves the pouch more then me, lol.

I was thinking about just giving him the pillow. It seems to be his favorite (Of course, the newest, unused and most expensive decorative pillow on my bed, LOL!). But its worth it as long as he's happy. :laugh:

well mine will all fall asleep on me in the night but usually only oda wakes up during the day, not every day but a couple days a week.
