When do you take your hedgies out to play? For how long? With others? Im just trying to figure out the best play time for my crew.
I usually take my guy out around 8-9 p.m. Depending on how busy I am is what he gets to do. If I have a lot of time, I'll take him downstairs and let him explore the family room and run around. If I'm busy I usually just let him sleep or climb all over me while I work on the computer. He usually just goes back to sleep right when I put him in his cage and then gets up after 1 a.m. right when I go to sleep.

Daisy likes to play in the morning. She likes to run around either in my dining room ar the hallway. In the evning she doesn't seem as active, if we get her out late evning 8-9pm she doesn't want to play she'll curl up in her bag and sleep.

I played with ernie from 10-11 or so before the babies. It just fit my schedule...now that I have to play with I gotta work out a schedule for them.

I usually take Razzle out between 7:30 - 8pm. I cuddle with him for a while (this is more for me than him....he tolerates it); we watch a little TV; then he goes into his playpen for the night where he tears up the place!

I work until 6pm M-F, so I usually take Jake out about 9p. I let him run around in the living room while I am watching TV. He is with the dog and cats, so it is playtime for everyone! I try to cuddle him a little while I am reading in bed, but usually he just tries to escape under the covers.
Weekends, he is fair game. I take him out for cuddle time whenever my schedule lets me. He is the WORST morning person in the history of the world, so I try to keep the lovey sessions short during the day. I try to just let him sleep in his blanket on my lap when I am doing something that requires me to sit for a while.

How do the dogs react? Whenever my dog sees one of them, she starts licking her lips! DINNER! haha! She sits outside the cage and whines the whole time and walks around wherever she walks! Its pretty funny!

My dog is 40lbs and very friendly and nosy. She is very interested in him when he is in his cage or puttering around the room. She follows him around and likes to "find" him when he is hiding. If I lose him I can just say "Bisa, where is JakeJake?" She runs right to where he is hiding. But let him start walking toward her and she jumps up and runs away. She seeks protection from the big bad hedgie my jumping in my lap. She has tried to sniff him a couple of times, but has gotten spooked by the hissing prickles. Now the biggest problem I have is that she tries to eat his food.
The 3 cats are about the same. They are less interested and more annoyed. They think he is a freak and can't be bothered with him. Unless he is headbutting my bedroom door wanting out. Then they try to bat at him from the other side of the door.
All animal temperments vary, obviously. Just keep an eye on the interactions. You should be fine. I haven't heard of anyone having big problems with mixing hedgies with cats or dogs.

Yeah. Once things calm down and the babies grow up...I will "introduce" them.

Popples come out ususaly anywhere from 9 to 10 till i go to bed witch is most of the till 11 or 12. But some time he will come out for a bite to eat around 6 when we are mostly having supper and then we will take him out for a bit then he just goes to sleep. And on the weekend (my day's off) will take him out to watch tv weil he sleeps on or in his bag.
