I clean the cage when at different times, it doesnt really matter. I leave food out for them the whole day. I dont wash them after they annoint unless its with something nasty. And no mine cant get under a closed door.

I clean cages when it is convenient for me. When I do, I just take my boys out, give them a quick foot bath, and then allow them to nap in my bed until their homes are clean.
Usuaully cage cleans get done in the late afternoon, to early evening.
I feed my hedgies in the evening. Any left over kibbles are left in the cage incase they get the munchies during the day. Any food that might go bad (ie left over chicken, babyfood, veggies, fruits etc) is taken out in the morning.
In the evening I wash bowls, fill with new food/water, and give them their treats.

Depends on the door. Some doors have bigger gaps than others, and if there is much of a gap, yes, they can get under.

Jake can squeeze out from under my bedroom door. Plus, when he headbutts the door, the cats get excited and swipe their paws under it. I bought a pack of those foam tube things that you use to wrap around your pipes for insulation. Sorry my description isn't better, I am no handyman. They are long with a slit down the side so you can slide it on a water pipe. I slid it on the bottom of my door and it has stopped the escapes. I used to use one of those long bean filled draft stopper things, but Jake scrunched it out of the way and went on his merry way.
I clean his cage according to my schedule, not his. He just stays curled up anyway so I tuck him in my laundry basket and he sleeps on.
Dinner is served at about 11p. It is when I go to bed. I take the food bowl away in the morning when I go to work and wash/refill it just before I go to bed. He usually gets a few spoons of cat food mix and a spoon of a "side dish" - something like egg, baby food, chicken, fruit, or veggie.
If Jake annoints a lot with something yucky, I spot clean. I use an old toothbrush, wet it with some baby shampoo/water, then scrub the spot and wipe with a wet rag to rinse. I really try to keep the whole body baths to once a month.
