Oh my goodness... where to start? I absolutely fell in love with you the first time I saw you. I remember everything about the day I brought you home. You looking up at me through the carrier, building your first home. I never prepared myself for such a small trip. You never seemed to enjoy being with us. You constantly barked, you even drew blood on Tom once. The few moments where we connected where the best. You would let me pet your head or scratch behind your ears... sometimes a full body rub if you were in a good mood. Those moments out rank our kitties rubbing against my legs or purring because they were so few and I actually had to work for your love. I never meant to hurt you. If I could have taken away all your pain I would have. I'm just happy that I got to spend your last moments with you. You will never know how much you're missed. I'll miss you waiting at your cage door when I get home from school. Or you sticking your nose through the bars if you know there's a treat at the end of my long vents. Or the little dance you would do if you knew you were getting a rose hip. I'm sorry that we had so little time together. You touched me like no other chinchilla could. You made me want more and more. There will never be another Cheat. Me and Daddy will miss you each day.
