ok, i have kinda a weird question that im not sure if anyone else has seen?

ok, i was recently looking at the 'currently active users list.'
when i was looking through everyone i noticed in the section with the 'guests' is said 'google spider.'

Is this a virus, or spy type thing? im not sure what exactly im asking other than WHAT IS THIS!?!?! i have somehow been getting a number of viruses & im now wondering if i may be picking them up through here...or that?

has anyone else seen this? is it not a bad thing? Should something be done?

any info on this 'google spider' that i have seen multipule times on here would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

I just looked and see it too. I am on here constantly and haven't had a virus hit in months.... touch wood, cross my fingers, toes, eyeballs etc. :rolleyes:

its been here for a few weeks now & it seems to come & go.

i mean, you can get a virus anywhere, but since that looks odd im wondering if anyone else is having probs. or knows at least what this thing is & how to stop it!!! (i have also been getting scam mail about chinchillas i have for sale..) so could this be what it is from.. i know i read a thread a while back about others getting alike mail..

Hmm.. in order to post or have access to your e-mail address via CnQ, you have to be a registered member. At this time, all newbies are immediately put on moderated status until we can verify that they are legit and not spammers. I'll make sure Sandra see's this so she can take a peek- she has access to a different panel that can verify this :)

Google Spiders (as well as Yahoo /Altavista/Lycos Spiders) are what usually go out to search the webpages for "search resules" on their webpages.

CnQ is "spider friendly" so that people can find us on the Search Engines.
