Hi everyone,
I'm Melissa and I just got my first chinchilla, mosaic white, named Squeekers. He was a gift from my fiance. We also have a hedgehog named Ernie. Any advice for raising a new chi would be greatly appreciated.

My best advise would be to do a search on this site under new chin owner. There are some wonderful threads on there. People were kind enough to make out big long lists. There is sooo much to know. Beware they are addictive and they will steal your heart. Have fun researching. If you have any specific questions and I can help I would be happy to! Welcome! :)

Welcome aboard Melissa. I just brought home a little 3 month old white mosaic myself last week... Eventually I will be introducing her to my little gray standard female. You're gonna love your chin, they are addicting... don't expect it to cuddle with you, but be assured it will certainly entertain you with it's antics... bouncing off walls, begging for treats....jumping all over you.....
