I stink

I've been sick as a dog since Sunday. I think I am dying. Fever, cough, sweating, chills, aches so bad my skin hurts. On a ton of medication and home from work for 3 days.

But I am feeling slightly better today. I have been feeling guilty ignoring Jake. So I get all ready for a love session with my boy. Kleenex ready, heat on, huge blanket for cuddling, medication taken, hot chocolate waiting.

I pick up Jake and start to get settled in. He freaks out!!!! Hissing and popping like he has never seen a human! Curled up in a ball so tight I can't see his face. He would start to uncurl then tighten right back up again. What is going on here?

Vicks Vapor Rub. I was SLATHERED in it. My hands (although I had washed them), my clothes, my chest, my neck. :laugh: I totally forgot about it. Guess he is not a fan of someone who smells like Grandma. I laughed so hard I started coughing, which just added to his hissing. So, back in his cage he goes. He happily goes to bed, glad to go back to being ignored.

I guess if I want sickbed sympathy I should stick with my dog. She doesn't care how I smell.

LOL too funny! I was sick a few weeks ago and I had sprayed some of that soar throat spray in my mouth cause I had a soar throat. I had Herbie on my lap and was talking to him, he crawled up closer to me and then started to annoint like crazy. It was so funny! :laugh:

I sympathize, I really do. I've been sick for the last two weeks. I just got to where I was feeling better day before last. And bam I'm sick again, even worse.
