I just joined a few days ago but I was wondering how long is it going to take before I can make a post and it show up immediatly and not have to wait until someone checks it?

That depends...

We have been having issues regarding Spam Threads being posted. I am approving all new memberships as quickly as I can (which sometimes means over night, as I do sleep) and the threads at about the same time. I then am changing status on people when they have been around and posting rather than those who joined and are not posting. I will go and adjust yours as I see you have been posting.
