litter training

I've had my chinchilla about 2 weeks and was wondering if they can be litter trained. If so, what kind of litter should I use? How can I actually train him? Thanks for your help!

I have 1 female chinchilla and she is litter trained, all i did was bought a corner litter pan and i put pine shavings in it, she has never used outside of it, and she is only 10 wks old. Good luck :)
